Hi there,
I get a Fatal Error when I try to uninstall SSRS 2000. I can't find any
directions to do a manual uninstall. Can someone help?
TIA
JoshHi Josh,
Thank you for your post.
To manually uninstall the SQL Reporting Services, please use this tool:

I used msizap.exe to clear RS2000 from the sytem then deleted the Report
Server directory. I've installed SQL2005, but I get an error when I try to
install Reporting Services. It says I already have an instance of the same
name.
I'm trying to do a default install to the default instance of SQL Server
2005.
TIA,
Josh

Thanks for the update.
Please check the second article in my previous post. Remember remove the
Virtual Directory and database of Reporting Services.
If you still could not install Reporting Services 2005, please post the
error message here for further troubleshooting steps.

I get this error when I try to install RS2005:
Error 28086. An instance with the same name is already installed on this
computer. To proceed with SQL Server Setup, provide a unique instance name.
I think RS2000 was not properly uninstalled. Do I need to clean up the
registry for RS2000?
TIA,
Josh

ReportServer and ReportServerTempDB are still around from a previous install
attempt. These two databases should be dropped prior to trying to reinstall.

Failure sending mail: The system cannot find the path specified.
I have had a development XP workstation with RS2000 and IIS sending reports via email for 6 months straight with no problems.
Today my subscriptions are failing with
Been searching and digging for hours, and if anyone has any ideas they are greatly appreciated.
I need some info to troubleshoot...
Replicate the issue, then go the Report Server log (ReportServer_xxx_xxx.log) and email the log to me for review. markcam80@.hotmail.com
What I will be looking for is explicit error messages versus the displayed message.
